SURVIVING FRENCH IMMERSION WORKSHOP
On October 24 2013, we held another of the extremely successful ‘Surviving French Immersion’ workshops with guest speaker and NVSD FI teacher Susan Owens. Mme Owens shared her knowledge and provide tips and resources for parents of intermediate early and late FI students. Click here for more info about the workshop.
“FRENCH FOR PARENTS” COURSES
From time to time, CPF organizes courses for North Shore parents with children in Francophone or French Immersion programs, partnering with learning institutions such as Educacentre College. Parents improve their French language skills with instruction through a set of lessons.
The next session will start in January 2014. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
SCHOOL DISTRICT 44 EVENTS
We deliver information through a CPF presence at several District events focused on educating parents and students about FI programs in our schools. For example, on October 23, we staffed a booth at the District’s annual Kindergarten Orientation night, giving out membership details, and speaking to many parents about the benefits of a French education.
